I am sad, that all this passion and in all this great times of film making it has come to this. All that we get is reproductions of a reproduction and another merchandise series. If a film maker dares to make something unique and extraordinary, it is taken away too soon immediately. There is something devaluing in calling any on-screen media duo who have chemistry a couple. It does a disservice to the very concept of friendship. If it brings you a sense of joy or ease to imagine these characters in a couple, fine. But every other post on this godforsaken site (in which I love very much) has been Deadpool and wolverine are gay. And Yeah they are both not straight. And Yea historical they have hooked up in comics and what ifs and what not. And Sure Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman have undeniable chemistry. But the value in having a deep emotional bond with a friend is all but negated when every time it is portrayed we jump into assuming sexual attraction plays a role. Friendships that include intimacy and honesty and growth shouldn't be romanticized all the time. Deadpool and wolverine have so much more value as Best friends then they do narratively as a couple. So do superman and batman tbh .. And Sam and Frodo from LOTR...
